Client brief:
KPA needed a digital home that could speak for a young sport without looking unfinished. The brief was an official association site — identity, governance, news, and a roadmap that clubs and athletes could actually follow — plus a mark that works on a court, a jersey, and a browser tab.

Introduction
Padel is arriving in Kerala court by court. The association had to look established on day one: navy and lime from the sport, crossed rackets as the mark, and a site structured around how a governing body actually works — who runs it, what is coming, and how to join.
- Role
- Product designer / Lead designer
- Scope
- Identity, website design, and front-end build
- Tools
- Figma, Cursor, React / Vite
- Deliverable
- Live association website
The challenge
Most padel pages in the state still belong to clubs. KPA had to read as the official body — infrastructure, elite athletes, a calendar — without borrowing tennis templates or looking like a venue booking app.
The process
1. User Research
Players, clubs, and the committee needed different things from the same homepage. The main opportunities:
- A clear official presence, distinct from club and court pages.
- Governance that reads as a real sporting body, not a name list in a PDF.
- A year-by-year roadmap people can follow as courts open.
- A path to join, sponsor, and follow the circuit as it grows.
2. Design & Style
The identity sits on court green and navy. Kerala is held on a ruled line so the geography is part of the name. The palette is four values only — enough for kit, web, and print without inventing a fifth green.

3. Design Goals
Responsive website
A site that holds on a phone at the court and on a laptop in committee.
Exciting design
Court photography, lime CTAs, and motion in the mark — sport graphic, not a civic template.
Scalability
News, circuit, and hubs can be added without redesigning the frame.
CMS incorporation
Governance and calendar stay editable as the association grows.
4. Development
Designed in Figma and built with Cursor on React / Vite, so the association can keep publishing — officers, fixtures, hubs — without a full rebuild each season.
